Subscription & License Plate Data: Desired personalized plate number, relevant state, and (if required) VIN, state, and existing plate number.
Payment Information: Processed securely by Square. We do not store full payment details.
Analytics Data: Collected via Google Analytics to analyze usage patterns.
Cookies & Tracking: Used for authentication and analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data to:
- Check personalized plate availability per your subscription plan.
- Provide account access, process payments, and manage subscriptions.
- Notify users of plate availability updates.
- Improve and secure our Service.
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
3. Data Storage & Security
- User data is stored on secure databases.
- While we take precautions to protect your data, we are not responsible for breaches caused by third-party service issues.
- If a user deletes their account, their data will be removed within 90 days.
- If a user suspends their account, we retain their data until they:
- Resume their subscription,
- Delete their account, or
- We decide to remove their data after at least 90 days.
4. User Rights & Data Deletion Requests
Users may request expedited data deletion by deleting their account and emailing scott@platehound.com.
Expedited deletion requests will be processed within 7 days.

We do not sell or share user data with third parties. We use trusted partners including:

- Square — for secure payment processing.
- Postmark — for email distribution purposes.
